Sugar Creek by Denyse Schmidt

**Update: Sugar Creek is now available online at Joann's!!**

I went in to Joann's to buy batting for our next guild meeting. They were out of batting, but I came home with these pretties instead. Does that ever happen to you? You go in for thread or needles and you leave with "other". I love this other! Introducing... Sugar Creek by Denyse Schmidt, but you already knew that didn't you?  ; )

Larger cuts of my favorites.  I LOVE these!

There are a few prints I couldn't find anywhere.  Namely the burgundy colorway. In fact I have been following along in the flickr group and no one has seen the burgundy prints. It's very strange. Yoo-hoo.... burgundy where are you?

Daisy Dog

And this little girl... gaining a steady three pounds a week and going through puppy food like crazy. We discovered bully sticks (thanks to a great suggestion here, thanks Paskiaq!!) and she's a happy chewer. I didn't know what they were so I googled it. Ew! I'm warning you, don't google it. Just don't.

If your looking for the giveaway, you can find it here.

  1. Cute Puppy! I have seen a couple of the new DS line at Jo-Anns, but we don't have a large selection. It is very pretty :)

  3. From what I have heard about Sugar Creek, they released these prints, but there are more (8?) more coming. This was an early release so haven't heard when others would show up. Hope to get some for myself soon!

  4. Sounds like your little girl is on the same track as our big boy! Yes, bully sticks are a great treat. We buy in bulk on Amazon...comes out to about $2.50/stick. He also loves baby carrots and apple slices...a healthy snack and also keeps his teeth clean.

I called my JoAnn's, and once again they have no idea what I'm talking about. Ay ay ay! I guess I'll have to haul my cookies down there and look for myself! Cute prints, but nothing that stands out to me as much as the previous collection. Would like a few of these, though.

  5. You girls are so lucky to have Joann fabrics near by. There is not one anywhere around these parts. sniff ...
Your fabrics are darling. Will keep checking on line, in case they become available. :o) I was able to purchase a couple pieces of the earlier patterns on line and so thankful. :o)
Have a nice rest of your week. :o)

  7. Oh I'm so happy she likes the bully sticks!!! My dogs love them too...I just mentally block out what they actually are ;) Love those fabrics! And yes I ALWAYS walk out with more than I plan to get. It doesn't help that I work across the street from a fabric store. My hubby is not so pleased with my fabric hoarding tendencies.

  14. I was wondering if this collection would be showing up soon. Happy to see a preview of what you found. I think I'm going to make a trip to Joann's here to see what they have on the shelves. I'm hoping for that burgundy color way too!

  17. have you tried frosty paws for your pup yet? They are usually next to the ice cream snacks for humans, but are made of dog digestion friendly ingredients. If you cant find them I bet soy ice cream would be a good substute. My pup (even at 3) still eats the paper cups they come in so I partially thaw the "ice cream" and then fill a large kong with it and refreeze it. Takes him 20-30min and he LOVES it. I have done this with other dog digestion friendly ingredients too. Bully sticks are NASTY, but they love them. Def not something to google.

  18. Lol.It's more unusual for me to walk out of a fabric store without something I didn't go in for than to walk out with only what was on my list.
