Fall is coming. I can smell it in the mornings when I wake up. Suddenly an urge to quilt a quilt. Out from my pile of tops came this pretty little thing. I got it basted last night.
This quilt was started last year as part of a wonky log cabin quilt along. I discovered I was not very wonky. Any wonkiness your see is not intentional wonky just new quilter wonky. Around the same time, I found this wonderful tutorial. Larrissa taught me all about strip piecing and inspired my quilt. I am so happy that the time has come to finish this one. It's been waiting long enough. I cannot wait to quilt it!

Ahhh, I remember it now! Is it flannel, or did I just imagine that part?
ReplyDeletefun quilts...basting is my biggest chore when it comes to quilting.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could smell Fall in the air around here! I'm ready for it! Your quilt looks so beautiful all basted and ready to be quilted. Have fun finishing it!
ReplyDeleteMmmm, I LOVE that Simple Abundance line. I have a mostly-finished quilt top in it, and think I'll be working on it soon, so I can snuggle under it on the cool autumn nights to come! Can't wait to see how yours turns out!
ReplyDeleteI have a few quilts to baste and quilt...if only I could just get to them. I keep starting new ones before actually finishing them. Yours looks great!
ReplyDeleteOh I can hardly wait to see you quilt, quilted. :o) Will you hand quilt or machine quilt?
ReplyDeleteI am so ready for fall. It is still in the 90's here and would love a cool breeze every now and again. :o)
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
